The Machu Picchu Citadel Tour from Cusco is a full-day experience designed to showcase Peru’s most iconic archaeological site with comfort and expert guidance. You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco at approximately 4:45 a.m. and travel through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the Ollantaytambo train station. From there, enjoy one of the world’s most scenic train journeys, following the Urubamba River as the landscape transitions from high Andean mountains to lush cloud forest.

Upon arrival in Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), you will meet your professional guide, who will prepare you for your visit to the legendary Lost City of the Incas. Entry circuits are assigned based on official availability: priority is Circuit 2A or 2B (Classic Route) when available; if sold out, Circuit 3B (Royalty Temples) is provided; and if unavailable, Circuit 1B, which includes the classic panoramic photo viewpoints, is assigned.

Enjoy a 2.5-hour guided tour of the citadel, followed by free time in Aguas Calientes before returning by train and private transfer to your hotel in Cusco, completing an unforgettable journey to one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

  • The Machu Picchu tour is non-transferable. Changes to the departure date are not permitted without incurring applicable cancellation fees.
  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing and are subject to cancellation penalties.
  • Cancellations or date changes made with 10 or more days’ advance notice will incur a USD 180 cancellation fee per person.
  • Cancellations made with less than 10 days’ advance notice will incur a 100% cancellation fee of the total tour cost.
  • If a participant abandons the tour for any reason, including altitude, health, or personal decision, no refund or claim will be accepted.
  • Participants agree to cover all expenses resulting from tour abandonment, including but not limited to meals, accommodation, return transportation, and medical costs.
  • Personal travel insurance is mandatory. Coverage must include personal accidents, medical expenses, loss of property, and any other expenses arising from injury, loss, or damage.
  • Certain services may be interrupted or canceled due to circumstances beyond our control, including weather conditions, natural disasters, civil unrest, or labor strikes. If the tour is canceled for safety reasons, we will coordinate with suppliers to seek refunds only when such refunds are authorized by the respective suppliers.
